The history of SÃO BRAZ began in 1924, when its founder, José Carlos da Silva, originally from the state of Pernambuco, came to Paraiba attracted by the opportunities that the city of Campina Grande had to offer at that time, and the first venture of the company came at the end of the 1930’s in the area of coffee toasting. São Braz legally came into existence in the Paraiba industrial scenario in 1938. The company slowly began to grow in Campina Grande’s commercial sector, using a small factory that produced and packaged "Café Especial" and "Fubá Águia de Ouro".

The combination of dedication, responsibility and quality demonstrated by the brand, enabled São Braz to achieve accelerated growth, and allowed for an expansion in its product line.

Today, the company carries 75 different products - counting the different variations of its brands and flavours. São Braz also has subsidiaries in the Northeast, Southeast and Central-West regions of Brazil; together with a network of franchised coffee shops; four of its own stores in Paraiba and Pernambuco and one franchised store in Rio Grande do Norte.
